Not really. Water feels colder than air when they’re both the same temperature due to the fact that you have more molecules pressing against you sapping away warmth while in water than you do when you’re just standing in the air. Plus the water they’re going to go take a dip in undoubtabley a natural body of water, possible the ocean, in which case it could very well be below freezing because water with pollutants (natural or otherwise) freezes at a lower temperature since the pollutants disrupt the formation of ice crystals as well as the fact that since the pictured body of water has waves the movement would cause the water to freeze at an even lower temperature. But any way you look at it it’s going to be bitchin’ cold.

Yeah, I know one reason Themoses work is that it’s easier to transfer could from solid to solid than it is from solid to gas to solid. Also why an empty freezer doesn’t keep things as cold as one that’s jam-packed. And judging these two by what they’re wearing, they’ve never heard of diploid, haploid, or even convection. No rocket scientists are they.

lol good try on sounding smart… but water “feels” cooler because water require more energy than air to change it by 1 degree. (I think it was 4.16 kilojoules/degree or something like that whereas air requires less than a tenth of the energy.)
Freezers don’t keep things cold better when full. Freezers just do their job. A simple way to think about it is an ice chest. The more cold things the less cold that can escape when you open it (cold air escapes easier than cold solids). You are totally right on thermoses though (the “air layer” does not conduct heat very well at all so no heat/cold in or out).

Nice try to sound smarter, but you just restated everything. Except that the your point about cold air escaping from the freezer missed the point of what I was saying—my point was more about the Thermos effect….it’s easier to freeze something if it’s surrounded by bags of frozen green peas than it is if it’s sitting alone in the middle of the freezer surrounded by cold air.
as soon as you said “transfer cold”, you lost every bit of your credibility and it became apparant you really have no idea what you’re talking about. HEAT transfers. cold is just an adjective.
and by the way, the freezer operates the same no matter what is in it.
